Laurie is a seasoned professional with an impressive track record of dedicated service of business development and coaching. Over the past six years, she has played a pivotal role as a consultant, trainer and Associate Director at a local Small Business Development Center (SBDC), leaving an indelible mark on the entrepreneurial landscape, including a national award.

Laurie has been instrumental in consulting and guiding over 500 entrepreneurs on their transformative journeys of inception, growth, and closure. Her commitment to their success is reflected in her hands-on approach, providing tailored one-on-one consulting and delivering impactful training programs. Over the past 5 years, Laurie has seen great client successes, including over 15M in capital infusion, 22M in sales growth and creation and support of 150 new and existing jobs, quite a feat during the pandemic.

A true innovator, Laurie has spearheaded many ideas for new and dynamic workshops and panels. These initiatives have been designed with a keen understanding of the evolving needs of clients, demonstrating Laurie's foresight and adaptability in addressing the diverse challenges faced by entrepreneurs.

With a rich entrepreneurial background spanning two decades, Laurie has been an advocate for small businesses and has lived the entrepreneurial journey herself. Having served as the owner/operator for several companies, she brings a wealth of firsthand experience. Laurie's practical insights and strategic acumen have proven invaluable to those under her guidance.

My Why 

As a business owner and consultant, my current entrepreneurial journey has been shaped by a deep understanding of the profound sense of isolation that small business owners often grapple with. Having personally felt the weight of this solitude, I've heard countless clients express the same sentiment—they yearn for a robust business community where genuine conversations, idea-sharing, and constructive feedback thrive, free from the pressures of being constantly sold to. What resonates even more is the desire for accountability, a guiding force to propel them toward their aspirations. The challenge, however, lies in the fact that such coaching and group services often come with a hefty price tag, placing them out of reach for many small business owners. This realization fueled my passion to make a difference. Thus, I founded Soar2Seven, a small business for small businesses, where there is a community that offers accessible mastermind groups and coaching. My mission is to create a space where small business owners can find support and a true sense of belonging—a community that understands, uplifts, and empowers small business owners on their unique journeys.
